Oh, but it was indeed a glitch by Google Contacts !
I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and now all works well :-))
Thanks for making me check and for your quick reply.
Hi,
when editing a contact and “save” it, nothing happens. I can click on “save” several times, no change happend nor can I leave editing screen. Happens when creating new contact as well.
Reboot of phone fixes issue for a short while.
Phone: S5 mini / Galaxy S5 (both)
Android: KitKat
Davdroid: 0.9.1.3
NAS: Synology DS215j
DSM: DSM 5.2-5644 Update 1
Any help is appreciated.
Best
Mick
Editing or saving contacts is not related to DAVdroid, see How does DAVdroid integrate with Android?
It’s an issue of your contacts app. Maybe you have a variation of [Samsung Galaxy S5] The Contacts app crashes when I view a DAVdroid contact. See the FAQ article for solutions.
Well Ok, never had that issue when using Google or device for saving. I think it’s Davdroid in conjunction with the NAS.
Thanks anyways.
@rfc2822 Just downloaded “True contacts”. Same issue.
I have the same behaviour on a Sony Z3 Compact tablet.
As far as I understand it, the change is not saved and therfore davdroid can not do anything at all
nethertheless I hope that somebody has a hint for my there I have to look to solve this problem.
A different contact app can not solve the problem (like true contacts) because they all use the same apps in the background which manage the contacts.
@zoulhh could your solve your issue and if yes how?
