Thank you rfc2822.
Now, I configured the webserver that runs nextcloud to also send the certificate chain file of letsencrypet. Now, Davdroid is happy - so am I 🙂
unfortunately davdroid doesn’t work with my new letsencrypt cert. i already reinstalled owncloud and clean flashed my phone. i can’t add the account.
with http:// its working fine
Can you please provide some more details about what “doesn’t work” + debug info? I really don’t want to play guessing games…
sry, forgot to mention, was quite late
i tried to get a log, but i wasn’t able. But first things first
my setup is / was a webhosting package with php5.6 and apache runny owncloud 8.2.0 and davdroid running on a N5 M.
log file says ssl is refused. 0_1449408678711_davdroid-debug-930183979.txt
carddav-sync works via https
@bomanz I don’t see a TLS error or anything that might be related to letsencrypt in the logs. It’s just a simple connection refused:
[wrapped] java.net.ConnectException: failed to connect to oc.bmnz.eu/126.96.36.199 (port 443) after 30000ms: isConnected failed: ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused)
So it seems like this host is not reachable at this port (for DAVdroid) … are there any firewalls?
no Firewalls on my side… maybe its a Problem of the hoster, i closed the webspace and will try it on my other project with an letsenrypt certificate
Using DAVdroid with a server using LetsEncrypt certificates myself, so I’m tagging this thread as solved.
