That’s normal behaviour. However, the crash bug on invalid host names should still not appear.
Sync with BaIkal addressbook freezes Android
I’ve discovered this software on FDroid today and was eager to test it. While there is no problem with syncing the calendars, I can’t sync my addressbook.
If there is less than 100 cards, I can sync. But with a bit more, I first have a message telling me that it will be available soon. If I try to restart the syncing process, it then freezes the phone and I have to reboot it (I can do it via adb).
Thanks for this free peace of software, and I hope we will find a way to solve this.
I just wrote an issue before (the same), but my smartphone doesn’t freeze, even if I retry the sync 3 or 4 times (S4 and android 4.2.2).
Yes, sorry about that. I use a Samsung Note GT-N7000, Android 4.1.2.
I’ve installed the last version (0.3.3-alpha) but the behaviour is still the same.
Don’t know if I must give any more information.
A stack trace or logcat output would be really helpful, do you know how to get this info?
Could you please test 0.3.4-alpha?
Hi, thanks for your answer.
- I don’t know how to get this output. Is adb pull /data/anr/traces.txt the good way to go ? Do I have to send the whole file ?
- I will test 0.4.4-alpha as soon as it will be on FDroid. I don’t have any google play account and won’t have one.
I’ve tested 0.4.4-alpha and it’s still the same… Sorry about that.
Is the file
of any interest to you ? I could try to send it.
@JeromeO I don’t know if it contains useful information, but please send it to email@example.com so that I can have a look at it
A problem with many entries has been fixed in the latest version. Please test with 0.3.5-alpha.
Done. It seems we’ve managed to solve this issue with the next version.
