Maybe it is just magic but it looks like to work so far.
Just try by yourself to find corner cases.
I will add comments here if/when I find issues with this configuration.
Backend server is enterprise outlook/exhange or whatever MS calls it. Lightning & Thunderbird work fine thru davmail. Davdroid signs in OK as shown by davmail logs, calendar items are returned as shown by davmail logs but davdroid shows no calendars to select. URL is http://localhost:firstname.lastname@example.org/calendar, where x’s are my email address, URL on the davmail end points to the enterprise owa address. localhost:6200 is a tcp forward to get me through various work-prevention firewall measures. The network stuff seems to be fine this appears to be a disagreement between davmail and davdroid wrt how the caldav data is handled.
I think it’s very important to mention the version of DavMail. E.g. 4.3.3 is broken in every regard.
davmail 4.5.1, 4.4.1 has the same problem.
Why did you close this?
I use this kind of URL:
sorry hit the wrong buttong. Tried with and without calendar, no difference. 1080 is when davmail is running on localhost- I am remote and connecting via forwarded tcp port.
I am working on davmail against enterprise exchange, no reconfig possible. Lightning works fine however. Will get davdroid logs in a cpl days… don’t do android app dev so lots to setup. Thx.

For me yes but I am unsure if the problem is fixed for @gpounce

also perhaps pertinent in the meantime while I get adb etc running (why can’t the app just write a text file log?), I also used caldav-sync free to sync the google calendar thru the tcp tunnel as above, to davmail against the enterprise exchange. That worked fine except the free version doesn’t support password changes so its a PITA, figured I’d try an open source alternative before plunking down for the full caldav-sync.
I’m having the same problem that DavDroid 0.6.12 (and also 0.6.11 and 0.6.10.1) don’t discover any Addressbooks or Calendars on a Radicale 0.9 server. Other clients work fine with this server.
Is there a plan to make it work with davmail (which was the purpose of the ticket)?
Just for info, it still doesn’t work with 0.7.
DavMail should work by now, see #477. Make sure to use the latest version of DavMail and DavDroid.
