i’m using mostly shared calendars, so it would be nice to have an option to enable notifications about synced items. maybe even in a configurable verbosity e.g.:
summary: added 3 items, deleted 1 item, modified 1 item
added: vacation from 2017-10-31 till 2017-11-05, meeting with $person on 2017-11-06, birthday of $person on 2017-12-12
deleted: BBQ on 2017-10-15
modified: party on 2017-10-13
so you know that/when other people modify the shared calendar.
i’m not sure if it’s possible to detect which item a user clicked on in the notification, but there could be an action opening the clicked event in calendar. or just the first one.
The ring tone is not contained in the raw contact. When setting an ring tone in the Contacts app, CUSTOM_RINGTONE of the RawContact is not set (it’s only set for the aggregated contact). See RawContacts docs:
A custom ringtone associated with a raw contact. Typically this is the URI returned by an activity launched with the ACTION_RINGTONE_PICKER intent. To have an effect on the corresponding value of the aggregate contact, this field should be set at the time the raw contact is inserted. To set a custom ringtone on a contact, use the field Contacts.CUSTOM_RINGTONE instead.
So I guess DAVdroid should not synchronize ring tones, as it only aims to synchronize raw contacts.
So I assume that DAVDroid SHOULD try to login with my “name”.
Indeed, see also issue #387.
Is it possible to add this fallback?
I don’t know. I didn’t find the time yet to investigate, and it would certainly change the resource detection logic. High-quality pull requests are always welcome
Of course login with email would be cool for OwnCloud too, but I didn’t find the time yet to implement checking email address AND local-only part now and I consider it not that high-priority.
