Accounts lost after reboot on 4.4.2 (LG-D855)
-
Hi,
having a brand new LG G3 (LG-D855) and wanted to use DAVdroid. But created Accounts are lost after reboot. Thought this was just an 4.2.x issue on ‘Samsungs’ and not on LG G3.
Just wanted you to know that. -
From DAVdroid Play Store entry:
»For all Android 4.1 and all Samsung users: There’s an Android bug that causes accounts to be lost after a device reboot. […]«Where is the inconsistency? It says: all Android 4.1 [regardless of the manufacturer] AND ALL Samsung [regardless of the Android version].
-
Well … 4.1 != 4.4.2. Otherwise you need to write ‘all Android 4.1 and newer’
-
Ah ok, thanks. I just lost track of all these firmware bugs.
-
Mentioned in description on Play Store.

[flaming removed]
Now updated in FAQ, too.

@cwittmer Did you check whether the workaround app solves your issue?
-
@untitaker I did install the ‘workaround app’ before I started this issue … and it works …
-
That wasn’t 100% clear to me. I suggest the following in the FAQ: “The bug has been found on devices X and Y, but it might also happen on other devices due to similar problems.”
-
I suggest:
“The bug has also been found on device LG G3 (LG-D855) with Android 4.4.2, but it might also happen on other devices due to similar problems.” -
Thanks, I have added your model to the FAQ entry: https://davdroid.bitfire.at/faq/entry/account-gone-after-reboot

I have the same problem with Android 5.1.1:
- Samsung Galaxy S4 mini
- Cyanogenmod (daily developer)
- Fdroid Version 0.8.1
Solved! App was moved to SD-Card. After moving back to system Storage everything works
Thanks for this very good application
I’m using it with blaucloud.de (free edition OwnCloud Service) works as expected
