Latest DAVdroid here (0.3.5-alpha)
I confirm that it was happening w/o my patch. I got an exception that was similar to “invalid URL” (cannot try now, I’m at work currently)
Maybe I should update my OwnCloud (I’m using ownCloud 4.5.5)
Since > 0.4.3 versions, I have a strange problem.
Caldav synchronisation with my ownCloud server works fine.
I manage to add my ownCloud carddav account without error.
In the SMS app, I can see the names of my contacts from my ownCloud instance.
But, with the contacts app, I don’t see them and I cannot add contacts to the Davdroid account. The only choice I have are device and sim card.
With Davdroid <= 0.4.3 I have not this problem.
Can you post screenshots?
Works here on Android 4.1.2 (Galaxy Tab 10.1).
What device do you have? I don’t know it, but I guess it’s a bug of the branded firmware. Are you sure that the correlation with DAVdroid 0.4.3 is not only chronological but causal?
Without more details, I can only recommend to reset the device and/or install a free operating system like Replicant or CyanogenMod.
I use an Asus Fonepad (x86, no cyanogenmod).
If I downgrade to 0.4.3 it works.
Sorry I have made a mistake. It is not 0.4.3 but 0.5.3.
I don’t see any changes from 0.5.3 to 0.5.4 that may cause this. If you have an idea how to debug this, please post here. Otherwise, I just recommend (see above)…
Any news on this?
