CardDAV stopped synchronizing with OwnCloud
-
I’m using davdroid with OwnCloud (now 6.0.2) since half a year. Initially both CardDAV and CalDAV worked fine but a few months back CardDAV stopped working. In the account settings davdroid briefly tells me that sync has failed. In OwnCloud I can’t find any error message at all. Yes, I deleted and added my CardDAV account several times with the latest davdroid version. Any advise how to debug this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Please provide logs.

My phone isn’t recognized by ADB.
I may try again later. In the meanwhile, is there any other way to reveal logs or other useful info?

No. You have to activate USB Debugging on your phone so that ADB can access it.

I understand that but my phone isn’t recognized. Maybe that’s because of the vendor Xiaomi which isn’t common in “the west”.

It seems that you need drivers.
See this post for reference : http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/adb-drivers.19220/
You could also find this interesting : http://thorerik.net/blog/2013/05/19/xiaomi-m2-and-adb/
Or maybe other things that have to be found (I found these two by searching “xiaomi adb” on DuckDuckGo). -
Thanks for the help. Here are the logs as requested: https://gist.github.com/jan234/b27fdc1ef79dc22e4dd0

@jan234 Thanks. Unfortunately, these logs contain compressed network traffic which is unusable for debugging purposes. DAVdroid/0.5.13α has new debugging options, including “disable HTTP compression”. Can you please provide new logs with DAVdroid/0.5.13 and this option activated?

Any news on this? Otherwise, I’ll close the issue.

I got a new phone and the issue didn’t happen so far. It can be closed.
