Just tested it and the new version works. The large event with 1872 attendees is now imported.
Is is so large that the calendar app takes several seconds to load it.
Error Messages - Can not Sync Dates Anymore
Hey, since a fee weeks certain calendards do not sync anymore across devices.
I get for example this error message on Adroid:
Attemt to invoke virtual method 'java.util.TimeZone java.util.Calendar.getTimeZone()'
What can I do now? I tried to de-install an reinstall DAVx5 and deleted all account information in my calendar app. But nothing changed…
I guess Android 8.0? Does that help: https://www.davx5.com/faq/java-lang-nullpointerexception-java-util-gettimezone
@rfc2822 So obvious… yes that is it. well for some reason after trying it again and again it works now like charm again. Do you recommand to switching to a newer phone/android to be sure DAVx5 works?
@parschy There’s also a method that preservers accounts and settings; I have updated the FAQ accordingly.
I have used Android 8.0 myself for a long time and had this problem only one or two times. In the meanwhile, Android 8.1 is available for my phone.
I recommend to update Android whenever possible (even when it requires a custom ROM), but I’d not switch the phone because of that.
@rfc2822 cheers and thanks for the advice
