• I have read the FAQ about how multi part addresses (street, city, etc etc) need a certain contacts client, but I’m wondering if the Samsung one is different.

If you create a new address using either Google Contacts, Local Phone or Samsung as the contacts storage it will show the address format in the multi-parts.

But if you select Davx5, it will show the address input as a single large box.

Does this mean Samsung have hard coded it in this way, or perhaps there might be a flag/setting to allow Davx to also use multi part?

    Hi,

@maoxiong said in Multi part addresses using Samsung Contacts:

There is indeed such a flag, but it is hardly (= not) documented by Android. Samsung Contacts doesn’t honor it at the moment. We have already contacted Samsung about that and are waiting for the reply.

In the past, Samsung has been very interested in our improvement suggestions and they have implemented/fixed various things 🙂 So there is hope.

  • @rfc2822 fantastic, let’s cross our fingers then 😁
