DAVx⁵, NextCloud, and Google WebCal not working (No webcal-capable app found)

  • I have an imported Google Calender (private link/url) imported into NextCloud (self hosted) and that calendar is showing up in NextCloud and is also listed in DAVx⁵ under WebCal. However, I am not able to select it. Instead I get following error: No webcal-capable app found.

A search here only revealed an old post stating that this bug was fixed.

Link is starting with https:// and not with webcal://

VardDav and CalDav are working fine. Has this bug returned or does it simply not work because I am using GrapheneOS with Etar?

    Any help appreciated 🙂

You will need a webcal-capable app like ICSx5 installed to pass over the URL from DAVx5 to ICSx5. It is easy to subscribe it there, and it will the show up in your calendar app, after iSCx5 has synced it 🙂

Webcal doesn’t have much to do with CalDAV, but it is possible that CalDAV announces Webcal URLs, thats why there is a seperate tab for it in DAVx5.

  • Thanks for the information. I will try that 🙂
