@max Synchronizing calendars in both directions is a very complex task, and it takes more than just downloading and uploading a single .ics file per calendar. If you have a look at CalDAV and which problems it solves, you will see what the problems are. You will also need a hierarchy: just think about the case that one .ics file contains a certain event, and the other doesn’t. So, does it mean that it has been deleted by the user and should be deleted from the one .ics file, too, or has it just been added and should be added to the other .ics file?
Reminders for WebCal calendar imported from Outlook
-
Hi, thank you for making this app available which allows me to see my Outlook work calendar on Android without obtrusive apps.
I am currently exporting my Outlook calendar to Nextcloud, which in turn exposes it as a read-only WebCal calendar, which I can import into my Android apps via ICSX. Quite a chain, but it’s the only way I have been able to make it work.
The only problem is that none of the event reminders seem to carry over. I am not sure which step of the chain is responsible for that, but if that were a limitation of the protocol or any of the other systems involved, is it possible to set up at least a default reminder for all the events?
Of course, if someone has a better advice on how to access Outlook calendars on Android, I’d be glad to know about it.
Thank you.
