According to https://github.com/android/platform_packages_providers_contactsprovider/blob/android-5.1.1_r4/src/com/android/providers/contacts/ContactsDatabaseHelper.java#L1213, the RawContact’s PINNED is always DEFAULT unpinned, so there should be no need to set it explicitly.
Wifi not changable with Android Data Saver mode
“When Android Data Saver mode is active, sync over WiFi only is automatically enabled.”
However this leads to that you can change the SSID of the Wifi which it should be limited to sync. Cost me about half an hour to find out why this setting is greyed out. Please change, that you can always change the SSID
Thanks for your report. So… data saver is active, and you want to limit the WiFI SSID to a specific network (for instance, because the server is only reachable in this network)? Is that your use-case?
Wow, thanks for the fast reply.
Exactly that is the use case. Once it it set, I think it respects the limit to the set WiFI SSID, but figuring this out took a while
The SSID selection shouldn’t be disabled when Data Saver is active. I’ll have a look at that.
Should have been fixed and will be shipped with the next version. Thanks for reporting!
