@TheDoctorII yes, would have been a lot easier if they did…
@henry-nicolas Can you maybe test the new version 0.6.12 (see https://davdroid.bitfire.at/configuration for configuration details) and tell us if it works for you?
Can not send device ID of my phone
Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro - M1906G7G
Version MIUI: MIUI Global 11.0.3 Stable
Davx5 : version 2.5.5-ose (302)
Server gateway : z-push 2.5.2
With this phone connection attempts fail with the z-push message: “Can not proceed without a device id”
Which may mean that Davx5 does not send the device id.
Do you have an idea?
Thank you for your help.
What is a device ID and why should DAVx5 send it?
I’ve also never heard of a device ID in regards of DAVx5… Do you mean something that is transmitted in the http headers ?

Can not proceed without a device id
FYI, I found this information about that problem, which seems to be z-push related:
I don’t know how the device ID is transmitted.
A priori the problem is at the z-push level. I’m going to look at the source of z-push to understand what it does in detail.
j-ed, thank you for the links, I had already consult these sites. Indeed the error of the device ID does not stop the connection process, I can see in the logs that Davx5 then continues to send the requests /.well-known/carddav and caldav.
I will try to find a more complete explanation and get back to you.
Thank you for your questions and help.
