There are various reasons why your Web server / OwnCloud could respond with a 500 Server Error. However, I recommend to ask in OwnCloud forums because this is not a DAVdroid problem.
When switching between different login methods, the error message is not updated/cleared
Notice how on the second screenshot how it says “Valid email address required” for the username field
Thanks for the report. Can you maybe provide a merge request?
Would you prefer errors to be cleared when switching login methods or should error messages be updated?
apparently something went wrong when trying to upload the screenshot. This is the error message I got
Error Something went wrong installing the "sharp" module libvips-cpp.so.42: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory - Remove the "node_modules/sharp" directory then run "npm install --ignore-scripts=false --verbose" and look for errors - Consult the installation documentation at https://sharp.pixelplumbing.com/install - Search for this error at https://github.com/lovell/sharp/issues
Seems to work again. Just uploaded a nice error message from Gnome:
(was shown about 1 second)
Nod, works again here as well. Copying the screenshots for completeness sake
Hm maybe the error message should be cleared because as soon as one clicks on “Login”, the new error messages will appear again.
What do you think?
Yeah, I agree. Clearing the error messages when switching the login method makes more sense to me.

@rfc2822 Did you have something like this in mind?
