Dav5x doesn't connect to synology calendar anymore :(

  • My android phone doesn’t reach my synology NAS anymore.
Seems to come from synology calendar beacause if I try to reach the calDAV account of the calendar (given by the calendar menu) in my web browser, it asks me the name of contact and the password indicating “synology calendar” but returns again the window asking me the account and password without reaching the calendar.
Some of you would have a solution? Do I need to add something to the given CalDAV link which is in the form: https://<name>.fr2.quickconnect.to/caldav/<account_name>/
I tried with …fr…, with the same address added with /home
    Thanks for your incoming help

    Hello,

@Gepp35 said in Dav5x doesn't connect to synology calendar anymore 😞:

In this case, the username/password seems to be incorrect. Maybe the account is locked because of too many tries? Can you change the password in the Synology admin interface and try again with the new password?

  • still doesn’t work. Login and password are correct. When entering the caldav address given by calendar on my firefox desktop PC, return “GET requests on collections are only supported for calendars.”
I checked the permission on android.

You didn’t enter a port. You will probably have to use the port of your CalDAV server, i.e. https://<quickid>.fr2.quickconnect.to:<port number>/caldav/<account_name>

  • @rfc2822 thanks for your return and your help. How can I know which port is used? where I can find this information in the synology menu? Can I configure the port if needed?

I don’t know; I’m not a Synology expert. Maybe someone else in the Synology forums can provide better help.

On our Synology device, you can see the URL with protocol and port like shown in the video on https://www.davx5.com/tested-with/synology, at 1:42. What does it show on your Synology?

  • @rfc2822 I’m trying to get help on Synology community but it seems to be empty there :’(
I will get back here to explain if I find a solution.
    best

  • @Coincoin35 The CalDAV port is the same as your HTTPS port. Unless you changed that via Control Panel, the Synology default is 5001

You can check and set the CalDAV settings at the WebDAV server settings of a Synology NAS. You may also want to check the settings of the reverse proxy in order to detect any mappings affecting CalDAV access.
