@rfc2822: “I think the only solution is to give DAVdroid all required permissions and to turn off functions that block DAVdroid.”
That’s for sure. My request was about DAVdroid beeing able to defect that permissions are missing and warn. But when implementation of “privacy protection” is like you say, I think it’s the exact intention of that feature that the app does not know there is anything blocked.
So please close this thread.
Tasks not synced? "Permissions potentially missing"
I switched to DAVX yesterday. It works fine for contacts and calendar events, but doesn’t seem to work with my tasks. I saw you addressed this issue in the last update, but it doesn’t work for me. I’m using the newest available version from Play Store on my Galaxy S10+ (Android 9). I’m syncing with my Baikal server. As you can see in the screenshots it wants me to give the “tasks” permission, but I don’t know how to set it as it doesn’t show in the permissions list.
Am I doing anything wrong?
Oh, I think I posted it to the wrong subforum. Sorry.
Do you have Open Tasks installed? And did you grant all necessary permissions for it?
That was the problem. Once I gave OpenTasks the permissions manually (didn’t ask for that), DAVX asked me for permission as well. Would be cool if that would be a less confusing process…
