Update: I just redid the OS-update and now everything works fine. I guess there was some disturbance due to my attempts of restoring backup-data.
"Open with" doesn't list ICSx⁵
I clicked on my .ics file in a file manager and it showed a number of apps in the “Open with” dialog window but ICSx⁵ is not listed there.
What would the expected operation be? ICSx⁵ is not a tool for importing, but for subscribing.
Do you want to subscribe a local .ics file?
What would the expected operation be?
It would be nice to be able to subscribe to the files the way I described.
You need to put the .ics file to a web host and try to open the http://…ics link in the browser. Then ICSx5 should be an option to subscribe. Does it work?
No I don’t, I can use file:///storage/emulated/0/CalendarEvents/Calendar.ics as well, but that is inconvenient. It would be much simpler to just click on Calendar.ics in a file manager and “open with” ICSx⁵.
It’s just a question of how deep one wants to hardcode the directories… https://gitlab.com/bitfireAT/icsx5/blob/e8ae91303b0102dd6bd875fc3754aa8fbbb153ad/app/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml#L82
