I just bought ICSx5 1.8 for Android. When trying to add the first calendar I get the above message. I run the same version of ICSx5 on another android tablet that is able to add the same calender url with no error. Any idead where the java error might come from?
Thank you

Hello,
Are there steps to reproduce the problem?
-
@rfc2822
I could reproduce and fix! This error occurs only in case I do not set the colour when adding a new calender link to ICSx5. I tested with differnt links. As long as I add just the calendar link and do not modify the calendar colour (default seems to be red) the above message occurs.Seems to be solved, but bitfire should handle this.
Thank yo

I can still not reproduce it, although I can imagine where the problem comes from…
Did you do like this? icsx5.webm
Which URL did you use?
-
I did it like you except for the 2nd panel ‘Titel and Colur’. I modified the title, but not the colour.

@Jochen-Röhrig I have sent an apk over email. Does it work with this version?
-
I updated the app with your new apk and it worked. But it is not really a test from the beginning, because in the old app the default colour was already changed (from red (or none?) to blue in my case).
-
@Jochen-Röhrig Can you please try the same thing that crashed in the old version with the new version?
-
I
- deleted the app’s data and cache
- uninstalled the old version
- rebooted
- installed the new version
- added the url
- changed the ‘title’ and did not modiy the colour (which was still blue according to my last modification and not red when I installed for the very first time)
- worked fine with no error
-
@Jochen-Röhrig Thanks! Then the fix will be contained in the next release.

@rfc2822 I’m experiencing same problem with my AirBnb ics calendar. I’m sending you link to this calendar via “Chat” here on Bitfire. Can you send me updated APK, please? Thanks in advance!

Ah, sorry, it’s working now. Somehow I downloaded 1.8 version instead of 1.8.1. Sorry for complaint
