Export local contacts to CardDAV service
My user has its contacts stored locally in its Android phone.
DAVdroid is not soon installed.
Is it possible to use DAVdroid to export globally all its contact to a cardDAV (davical) server ?
And too, for its calDAV Calendar.
- use your Contacts app to export all contacts to a .vcf file,
- set up DAVdroid with CardDAV,
- use your Contacts app to import all contacts from the .vcf file to the DAVdroid account and thus to the CardDAV service.
See https://www.davdroid.com/faq/existing-contacts-are-not-synced/ for more information and a video.
Does that help?
Yes, thank you, it helps very much !!
Is there a similar process for CalDAV ?
@pcouderc I don’t know whether the default calendar apps supports it, but you should be able to find a calendar app which support import/export (like Business Calendar), so you can apply the same procedure.
Thank you very much, I explore all that.
