I had the same symptoms. Try the changes to the code I made in pull request 95. It uses a newer Linux API to register the device, and libinput seems happy with it now, so it works in gimp and inkscape.
how to get networktablet to show up in xinput list.
this is an old topic with no answers in this forum from what i can tell. i’m currently researching how to set udev rules so networktablet can access uinput and run at startup. i will be updating my progress in this thread as i make headway… so far i’m reading this. i got this idea from here. anyone with more experience is more than welcome to chime in.

@orbitallogic well, it WAS working… now its not showing up again… it didn’t survive reboot… so i’m back at the drawingboard… will post again once i’ve gotten the driver to load on startup and survive reboot.
