Hello everybody, DAVDroid lost both of my accounts one time when rebooting, although I installed it from F-Droid and I use CyanogenMod 13.0 (Android 6.0) on my Moto G (falcon). I have got two accounts, one at posteo and one at SOGo (university). The solution so far was to use “DAVDroid Jellybean Workaround”; with that app, I did not have any lost accounts so far. That’s strange, because the workaround app says it would only be needed, if DAVDroid had been installed via Google Play. I just wanted to share that fact, if somebody else gets the same problem. If this problem has been already posted somewhere else, please move / delete it.
DavDroid and aCalendar+ ?
I’m just setting up a CalDav server (Radicale) on a Raspberry Pi which is already working for a windows calendar.
On my android phone, I installed DavDroid and connected it to my server (successfully).
In aCalendar, I don’t see my DavDroid account (in the calendar list). Or how does it work to sync with aCalendar?
In the debug log of DavDroid, I see the following:
android.permission.READ_CONTACTS permission: granted
android.permission.WRITE_CONTACTS permission: granted
android.permission.READ_CALENDAR permission: granted
android.permission.WRITE_CALENDAR permission: granted
org.dmfs.permission.READ_TASKS permission: denied
org.dmfs.permission.WRITE_TASKS permission: denied
System-wide synchronization: automatically
…which is fine because i don’t have any tasks to sync.
The first sync took 2 hours (for a 1 MB ics-file) - I think that should’ve worked.
Any ideas? I probably just overlooked something obvious.
Hello, please provide your complete debug info and steps to reproduce. Did you check the calendar in DAVdroid?
thanks for the fast reply. I just see that the calender is listed under DAVdroid, but I don’t see any content (I think that’s not possible in DAVdroid anyway).
my steps were just: davdroid > new account > typed in URL, user, password > waited 2 hours
i didn’t do anything in acalendar except browsing and checking the available options. I also uninstalled acalendar and re-installed it and I upgraded to acalendar+
I didn’t want to spam the whole debug info here, but here you go

oh thanks, THAT was easy now, I see the DAVdroid account in aCalendar as well… thanks again - the easy solutions are the best ones
when I’m at it right now: is it normal that the sync process takes 2 hours on the mobile in my home wlan?! the ICS-file is with 1 MB pretty big (for a text file). my pc syncs in 10-15 mins (which I still find very long).
oh ok, thanks for the info. you’re awesome
then i probably have to switch to baikal as the problem will only be solved in version 2 of radicale.
