I know they are different protocols, but presumably, one app is not fundamentally restricted to one, is it?
I think such an app should not be called DAVdroid because that would confuse users (like me before I investigated the differences).
Synology just released a new package : Calendar.
I buy DAVDroid to sync my contact and calendar with my NAS.
For contact it’s working with no problem.
But for caldav they are not working.
After i enter the URL and login password i have this error message : No caldav or carddav services found <= i translate this message from french to english sorry if not the real message.
Do you have an idea if with this new software they have a problem ?
Thanks for your help.
Did you try the
/caldav.php/user/home/ path (= as seen in the calendar Web interface, but with
.php) as discussed in DavDroid 184.108.40.206 + New Synology calendar not working?
Thanks for your help, it works.
First try i see my event 3 times for each, i remove my account and do it again and now it’s perferct.
Next time i search before i create a new post
I have now added CalDAV setup (using Synology Calendar package) to our configuration page.
@isushi42 Just for curiosity, are you able to add an event on the synology calendar, using davdroid from your phone, inviting some guest, and with the invitation email correctly sent by the calendar app? Thanks,
Sending invitations relies on the calendar app. The only thing you have to do is to choose the correct email address as your account name. When creating the account, in the last step, there is a hint in the respective field which is used for the ORGANIZER field.
@devvv4ever Yes, you are right. However, although I double checked that the organizer is set to my e-mail address, and the RSVP variable has been set for the guests, my calendar server don’t send the email. I installed another calendar server (Baikal), with same results. So I’m wondering if someone else is having my issues.
