davdroid calendar not automatically syncing on P8lite

I use Davdroid both on a Galaxy S7 Marshmallow and Huawei P8lite Marshmallow.
On the S7 all goes well and automatic background caldav syncing with Synology Diskstation and Owncloud works like a charm.

However on my P8 lite, manual syncing does work for both caldav servers but not the autmatic background syncing.
Anyone an idea what can be wrong. Do I have to enable or assign rights to something?

Please provide debug info.

Synchronization is managed by Android. DAVdroid doesn't run all time, it's just called by the synchronization framework of Android. So, if synchronization is not started, I guess there may be something wrong with your Android settings.
