DAVDROID Auto-Sync Not working - XIaomi Mi4

Hello, auto sync in DAVDROID is not working in my xiaomi Mi4. Auto-sync set to 5 minutes. I have to sync manually by hitting the button in DAVDROID app.

Version of android: 6.0.1 MMB29M
Xiaomi Mi4, DAVDROID 4.4
Using Owncloud

Hello,

Please provide more information. What does “not working” mean? Are there error messages? Is sync scheduled? Does it sync, but not every 5 minutes (but for instance, every hour)? What did you try to get it working? Does it work on other devices? What are your battery saving settings (I guess Android 6)? Is background data active? Are you on WiFi? Etc. etc.

Also note that the synchronization itself is not initiated/scheduled by DAVdroid. DAVdroid just tells Android that it would like to be called for calendar sync every 5 minutes, but the actual scheduling/call is done by Android.
