No calendar sync and crashing calendar widgets with DavDroid 1.0_1
-
Hi,
DSM 6.0
Samsung S5
Android 4.4.4Does not sync anymore. Shows “sync error” in S5 settings. Calendar apps (like Today) or Zooper Widget are crashing.
Already re-installed DavDroid. No change.
Ideas?

Hello,
- Please provide logs (enable logs in Settings / external logs).
- Please provide the debug info (Settings / Debug info).
- Please provide steps to reproduce the problem. Everything works here, and without being able to reproduce the problem, we can’t say what’s wrong.
- Does the default calendar app of your device crash, too?
-
Log is empty except version information. Samsung calendar did not crash so far.

@rfc2822 Update. Internal calendar crashes too. When trying to edit an entry. (S Planner)
Thanks

@zoulhh I only have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Android 4.4 to test, and it works there (S Planner).
So unfortunately, I can’t reproduce your problem, and therefore I don’t have an idea what could be wrong.
-
@rfc2822 Which time zone are you in? Can you provide a test account and send it to play@bitfire.at?
-
-
@rfc2822 Test account added and mailed.
-
@zoulhh Have sent you an .apk to test.
-
@rfc2822 Not received. Sent you another E-Mail address. Please check. Thanks.
-
@rfc2822 Tested. No change. Still calendars and Zooper crash.
-
@zoulhh Maybe you have to reboot your device after uninstall DAVdroid, like in this thread. Otherwise, I don’t have an idea anymore.
-
@rfc2822 Tried that. No chance. Restored 0.9… Everything is OK again.
Well. Maybe you find the problem later. Let me know. Thanks so far.
-
@rfc2822 By the way. Same issue on S5 mini. My wife’s phone.
-
@zoulhh Another reason for this may be that the calendars don’t have a DAV:displayName (what is Synology’s behavior), so DAVdroid 1.0 didn’t set a title for the calendars/task lists. In DAVdroid 1.0.3, the last URL path segment is used as a title (again, like in 0.9) if there’s no DAV:displayName. Please install 1.0.3 and try again (only sync after installing should be enough, but if it doesn’t work, try adding the account again).
-
@rfc2822 Is 1.0.3 in review at Playstore? Currently 1.0.2 is what I can get there.
-
@rfc2822 Got it. Seems to work like a charm again. Thanks.
